It’s not really an “invisible problem”, it’s more like a feature. Humans are already much more powerful. If you’re playing as a zombie, you actually need features like this to have a chance to infect them.... otherwise, you won’t even be able to touch them unless you’re highly skilled. Adding a laser option to flame or freeze bombs would just create chaos. Players would spam bombs in laser mode constantly, and it would become difficult even for staff to manage. In short, it would make humans far too powerful and unbalance the game.
